Joss Whedon’s Firefly Episode 14, Objects In Space.
Alas, this is the end of Firefly. Such a great show with only a short run. Proving yet again that American TV wouldn’t know good entertainment if it dropped gold bricks.
This episode was an excellent send off for the show with some excellent writing and superb acting on all parts.
At least they got a chance to show River becoming closer to a whole person…. funny how she had to become Serenity to become a person.

The Message is probably my least favored episode of Firefly… it is still good, it’s just something has to bring up the rear 
Another thing about this episode was it was the last one actually filmed. The funeral scene was actually the funeral for the show.

This is the first time we get to see that River Tam is much more dangerous than she would seem.
Oh, did I mention Mal dies in this episode?

Joss Whedon’s Firefly Episode 8 Out Of Gas

Joss Whedon’s Firefly Episode 8, Out Of Gas is an excellent piece of cinematography. The camera work is well done as usual, but they took some special care in using different lens effects to differentiate between the current and the flash back scenes. The writing is top notch, specially with how the story weaves in and out of itself. The acting of course was superb. This is just one of the episodes where Firefly proves just how great of a show it was.
In case you missed it, I like Out Of Gas a lot!
Minor side story: the red button that Wash installs for Mal to push and signal the crew’s return was stolen by Alan Tudyk and given to Joss Whedon after the show was canceled… “When your miracle gets here, just pound on this button once and call us back.”
I think the reason this show rocked so much is because everyone obviously loved being a part of it.
Anyway, enough of my blather…
