War of the Worlds is a special effects showoff piece. Several things are re-enforced in this adaptation of H.G. Wells classic: Steven Spielberg can spend some money, Tom Cruise can run, Dakota Fanning can shriek and Morgan Freeman can narrate. Oh, and Tim Robbins can be crazy.

Go figure. ;)

Watch The Shawshank Redemption

The Shawshank Redemption (or Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption (Hope Springs Eternal)) is both one of my favorite movies and one of my favorite Steven King stories. The movie is what is called a “faithful adaptation.” Everyone did their job flawlessly and produced a very fine work of art, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
